At the invitation of the Annemarie Schimmel House, the German Cultural Center in Lahore Pakistan, I was able to lead a creative up-cycling workshop for students from various universities. The result is a series of upcycled furniture for public spaces made from waste and leftover materials from regional production companies. Clever joining techniques and material combinations were developed under the overall theme of “Jugaar”. The results of the workshop were presented at the Design Summit in March 2024 in Lahore’s “Walled City”.
