In the context of my university teaching assignment for design and engineering courses at the FH AACHEN I am working together with my lovely colleagues Fabian Seibert and Sascha Bogner.
We created a cooperation project between FH AACHEN (University of Applied Sciences) and our former academy ABK MAASTRICHT (Academy of fine arts).
Students from the ABK Maastricht (jewelry, product and textile department) and students from FH AACHEN (engineering department) forming mixed teams.
The goal should be the interdisciplinary experience in the team. Future designers use totally strange and emotional arguments, and future engineers use totally strange rational arguments.
The concept and design goal should be to look at the ‘deficiencies’ of the rapid prototyping technologies, like the steps and the rough and structured surface, and to turn them into something positive.
Great project till now, we are curious about the results!
